Level 1 Telecom Technician
• Minimum requirements (same for both profiles):
o Minimum academic qualification: Certificate of Higher Education (HNC) in Telecommunications Systems
o Full Spanish competence
• The candidate must have 2 years of experience in the following functions:
o Network Monitoring
 Surveillance and monitoring of the network, filtering of events and alarms through OSS and alarm integrators
o Incident Management
 From identification, categorization and analysis to resolution, verification and service recovery
 Interactions with all external parties involved in the service, include supplier and vendor
 Prevent problems and resulting incidents from happening, eliminate recurring incidents, and minimize the impact of incidents that cannot be prevented
 Support to field technicians during the maintenance of customer equipment
o Preventive Maintenance
 Inspecting CPE elements on a scheduled basis avoiding downtime. Programming back-up and software patch updates
o Change Support & Planned Works
 Monitoring and reporting on implementation, reviewing, execution and closing change requests
• Technologies:
 Voice: Fixed telephony services (PSTN, ISDN, indirect access), mobile, IP (IP line, virtual PBX, SIP trunks, intelligent network).
 Data: Point to point or multipoint services, VPN’s, IPSEC, network interconnection: switching, routing, multicast transport, voice and video, Internet, WiFi, WAN.
• Valuable:
o Full English competence
o Other languages will be valuable
o CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIP certifications
o Programming macros, scripts
