• Support the business development team in the screening and evaluation of solar PV project opportunities.
• Use PVsyst and other modeling software to create energy yield estimates and support further development of energy yield methodology.
• Perform techno-economic analysis to evaluate and optimize project designs.
• Support the preparation and review of optimized preliminary project designs and specifications compliant with applicable internal and external codes and standards.
• Support the development of internal analysis tools.
• Manage internal interfaces with global/regional engineering, delivery and asset management teams.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of applicable project engineering and performance issues as well as evaluation of new technologies.

• Engineer with experience in Yield Assessment in Solar Projects|Multinational energy company
• University degree; Bachelor´s Degree in Engineering or equivalent preferred.
• More than 4 years´ hands-on experience in the renewable power sector, specifically solar PV.
• Broad technical knowledge of solar PV power plant engineering. Equivalent onshore wind/energy storage engineering knowledge is a plus.
• In-depth technical knowledge of solar resource assessment and energy yield analysis (PVsyst).
• Experience in techno-economic optimization of solar projects.
• Experience in the development of software analysis tools (i.e. Excel, VBA, Python).
• Familiarity with EPC and O&M contracts, as well as with construction of solar projects.
• Familiarity with project economics, value chain and project development.
• Analytical problem-solving skills.
• Commercial acumen, to help increase project returns.
• Ability to understand the strategic context of work and adapt to changing business and market needs
• Being able to work efficiently and productively in remote locations.
• Culturally sensitive and ability to build strong relationships with Shell, partners and stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills, being able to present their idea within technical and non-technical audience.
• Focus on solving problems and not just asking more questions.
• Fluent in English. Ability to speak other languages is a plus.
