Must have: Minimum 3 years’ experience in implementation and support of Service Now in large organisation. Knowledge of ITSM Tools ServiceNow High Knowledge of Java and Java Script, SQL queries Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. High knowledge OS (Windows 2003/2008, Linux) High Knowledge office (MS Excel, Word etc). High knowledge of databases (MS SQL/MySql/Oracle) Knowledge of HTML, XML and Webservices. Degree in Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience will be considered) Must be able to speak & write fluent English
Good to have: Knowledge of ITSM best practices (ITIL). Service Now Certification
Supports the Technical Services and Support function under the guidance of Manager, Solutions Tooling
A Technical Tooling Engineer will be involved in a centralised technical support team based in Barcelona whose responsibilities are: Responsible for the configuration / development of the ITSM System (IT Service Management) ServiceNow. To include: System Integration ITSM. Definition of Processes based on ITIL best practices. Support ITSM systems. Be a liaison between the organisation and the Third Party Tool Vendor. Identify upcoming trends and innovations, translating this into recommendations and ideas for improving the Managed Service Environments. Work to develop strategic plans and vision for the standardisation of The ITSM Tool Environments. This includes short and long term strategic planning and service improvements. Monitoring/Reporting design, development, and maintenance Supports and maintains existing applications, databases, and interfaces Ensures that all development work follows basic SDLC lifecycle principles. Create if necessary custom documentation and procedures. Contribute as a technical team member on IT projects and liaise with Build/TSM’s during the on boarding of new customers.. Actively learns and continues education on the management applications based on open portal development technologies in use. Participate to the installation, development, documentation, migration and tuning of the ITSM Architecture. Be an ITSM/Tooling Engineer point of contact for the other teams and be part of an out of hours on call rota.
