A Senior Software Engineer (Web) will be in charge of designing and building a series of next-generation user-facing web applications for home energy monitoring and control. They will also be tasked with maintaining and integrating existing web apps into this environment so they can all communicate and synchronize towards the common goal. They must have the vision and drive to build systems that are
robust, future-proof, and that provide an unmatched user experience in ease of use, performance and availability.
At least 4 years working in a full stack web development environment
Complete understanding of the basic workings of HTTP with significant experience in building RESTful web APIs
Senior-level domain of the PHP programming language and web fundamentals like HTML, CSS and the DOM
Experience building and maintaining SQL databases on technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.
Experience designing and building a complex web application from scratch following industry best practices
Skilled with version control systems like git
Experience with other popular web programming languages like Ruby, Java or Python
Previous experience in building and deploying high-availability production web applications
Basic knowledge of DevOps tasks on top of a cloud-based Linux server infrastructure provider such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Digital Ocean, etc.
Knowledge of information security best-practices when building full stack web applications
Experience building, running or mentoring a small team of talented Software Engineers
