• Provides support to end users for workstation, server, and mobile device (hardware and software).
• Supports engineering applications running on Ubuntu, RHEL/CentOS 7 and Windows 10.
• Prepares, deploys, and ships new hardware to remote sites and end users.
• Deployment of on-premises hardware such as routers, switches, Ethernet cabling, servers, workstations, monitors, printers, etc.
• Manages user accounts in on-premises Active Directory and cloud-based identity providers such as Azure Active Directory and LastPass.
• Performs software installations, patches, and upgrades to maintain systems security and integrity.
• Performs troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system issues.
• Creates and maintains appropriate systems documentation.
• Escalates complex issues to subject matter experts as appropriate.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Requiered Qualifications

• A strong desire to help others
• Exceptional attention to detail
• 5+ years of experience with Linux desktop support, preferably Ubuntu and RHEL/CentOS 7+.
• 5+ years of experience with Windows desktop support.
• 5+ years of experience with hardware maintenance tasks such as racking servers, switches, deploying workstations, setting up printers, etc.
• Good working knowledge of networking fundamentals such as the OSI model, TCP/IP stack, communication protocols, firewalls, routing, etc.
• Physical ability to rack servers, move equipment, crawl under desks, change Ethernet cables at the switch and wall port, etc.
• Flexibility to work on call, if necessary.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, start-up atmosphere.

Preferred Qualifications

• IT related certification from Red Hat, Microsoft, CompTIA, VMWare, etc.
• Experience with virtualization products such as Hyper-V or VMWare
• Experience with cloud Infrastructure as a Service such as AWS or Azure
• Experience with Cisco Meraki network infrastructure
• Experience with macOS, iOS, and Android devices
• Scripting and automation experience
• Experience with Dell iDRAC
