TORO is looking for experienced mobile developers to join its mobile development team. This team is in a global race to build the best wallet. Best wallet is about mobile payments, but much more than that.
The team is building a wallet that can be used to get coupons and offers, access the metro, buy concert tickets, and play games... At the same time, we are deploying many wallet projects in many countries around the globe. This position is open for Barcelona. As an Android Mobile Developer, you will participate in the development of the new wallet rewrite, either in the core logic libraries or the user interface.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring the wallet´s logic is properly designed and implemented, that it´s extensible as well as maintainable. You may work on one of the several wallets we are deploying in several countries or on the applications that work on top of them. You will work with a team devoted to creating a technically impressive mobile wallet.
Skills needed Knowledgeable with Android Java (JAVA 6 plus JAVA 7 features) 2+ year experience writing application for the Android platform Demonstrated knowledge of current development methodologies (SCRUM), design patterns and software best practices (test driven development, continuous integration, etc) Knowledgeable with SCM such Git or Mercurial.
Ability to independently design, write, maintain and strive for high quality code Teamwork skills Fluent or working proficiency in English Optional skills / experience. Experience in HTML5, CSS3, JS (PhoneGap, Cordova or similar) NFC, mobile payments, HCE Mobile SDK/platforms (eg: iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Blackberry, J2ME, PhoneGap, Xamarin, etc) C/C++ language Android NDK (JNI) environment Secure programming If you work on any FOSS projects or have a GitHub, blog, etc. please tell us!
