Network Engineer – Level 2 - Barcelona

Perfil del Candidato:
- A good understanding and proven troubleshooting experience in some of the following: Routing/Switching, MPLS/VPLS, BGP,VPN, FW, Balancers.
- Proven working experience with some of the following vendors and their associated transmission equipment and management systems:Cisco Catalyst/Nexus/ASA, Radware.
- Previous experience within a Telco Projects environment would be ideal
- Experience of working within a team environment, with full responsibility for fault resolution. Including taking ownership, coordinating with internal and external teams and managing through to a satisfactory conclusion.
- Excellent phone and communication (written and oral) skills
- Proactive and stress resistant
- Ability to quickly learn technical information
- Ability to take decisions quickly and efficiently
- Team Spirit
- Fluent in Catalan and good level of English.
- Demonstrate a flexible approach, and an ability to operate effectively, when faced with uncertainty and change; be able to function effectively in a highly complex matrix organisation
- Demonstrate a logical/methodical approach to fault finding
- Able to demonstrate the developed skills needed to perform complex tasks, and the ability to find solutions in a timely manner
- Strong negotiation skills / Customer facing skills
- Good knowledge of how to handle Internet based applications.
- Good knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Good to have:
- Exposure to Juniper, Palo Alto, Advocent, Allot, Bluecoat, Checkpoint equipment and technologies
- Formal IT qualification: CCNP, CCSP, CCNA
- Experience with ITIL
- Computer science degree or equivalent
- Experience of working within a team environment, with full responsibility for fault resolution. Including taking ownership, coordinating with internal and external teams and managing through to a satisfactory conclusion.
- Experience of working within a Technical role, in a networking environment, completing first level analysis and fault isolation.

Related to Incidents and Service Request
- Answer calls and Emails from the customer in regards to technical queries and incidents.
- Proactively and effectively respond to escalations from L1 Service to incidents or requests generated either by the configured system tools or directly from the customer.
- Update the documentation regarding the specific customer solutions and will own it.
- Provide detailed technical knowledge and appropriate procedures to resolve faults within SLA for the customer Service.
- Escalate as appropriate to Third Party partners or Third Level Support Engineers.
- Ensure that the appropriate problem resolution, incident management, and escalation processes are followed.
- Maintain contact with Customers (Colt) according to priority and SLA.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and help defining strategies for continual improvement of customer service quality and for future customer business developments.
- Carry out systems checks to confirm service status, configuration and presentation.
- Participate, when requested, in Continual Service Improvement initiatives representing the Service Centre and area of expertise.
- Coordinate and provide input into reports for complex and major incidents for individual Customers.
- Own within the Solution Service Desk the hand-over of new customer solutions ensuring proper documentation and configuration in monitoring and CMDB systems is available.
- On call services can be requested.

Related to Change Management
- The L2 Network Engineer will be involved in projects in the Network Infrastructure of the customer.
- Prepare configurations changes in the network devices.
- Implement the changes in the network on calls
- Trains and mentors TSM or CSE on the specific project solutions he owns
Holds Regular meetings with CSE and TSM to review service quality
- Participate and be available to work in the shift rota as required
