As a Guidewire / JAVA Senior Developer your key responsibilities will include: The configuration of insurance products, processes and distribution channels as part of a Guidewire Delivery Center project teams focusing on a core applications solution replacement programs; and the integration of the Guidewire solution with other internals & externals platforms.
Also as a Guidewire/Java Senior Developer your main responsibilities will involve: Supports the implementation activities, troubleshooting system environmental issues, training as required; Responds to application problem tickets as necessary; Supporting the management and control of the required testing effort; Understands customers´ processes and products and how they fit within the goals of the business unit; Reviews and validates the detailed technical design for business applications to ensure alignment with business requirements; Estimates Rough Order of Magnitude for the level of effort/cost of new application functionality; Performs quality review checks on project deliverables; Acts as liaison between Business and IT, as assigned; Provide support for the change management process; Supports application testing, implementation, and training activities
As a Guidewire/Java Senior Developer your skills and qualifications will ideally include: more than 3 years of experience in application development / testing or business / system analysis role;; moren than 2 years of experience in SOAP web services and tools e.g. (SOAP UI, WSDL); Experience to work in diverse, multi-cultural environments and to deal with ambiguity and changing/evolving requirements; Very good abstraction skills (mapping requirements into IT solutions);

Good English communication skills; Experience in technical interfaces (web services), data extraction, data import; Integration technology skills (distributed among several persons): ETL / Infromatica, MQSeries, CICS, REST / ODATA, BiPRO; Architecture knowledge (Mapping, Data modelling, Data warehouse deployment, Deployment processes, Integration of external IT suppliers / systems, automation / workflow control); Prior experience/knowledge of Guidewire products is an added value.; Prior experience of working in an Agile/Scrum environment strongly preferred
Working knowledge of business process modelling, analysis & design disciplines and of the overall iterative software development lifecycles
Java (to generate Java classes/JAR from WSDL using JAXB); ETL / Infromatica, MQSeries, CICS, REST / ODATA, BiPRO; Background in digital web-based applications beneficial; .Guidewire, Basic SQL, HTML, CSS, Unix command line skills (grep, cd, start/stop,¡), beneficial
