Amazon Web Services (AWS) is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Technicians to join our expanding Data Center Operations team as part of our Work-Based Learning Program (WBLP). This is a unique opportunity for driven self-starters to play a key role in a fast-growing business and to deliver significant value to AWS customers by maintaining the world´s largest Cloud Computing Infrastructure.

These positions are entry level and training will be provided. Candidates should have an interest and basic understanding of computer hardware components and operating systems.

The role is based onsite in a Zaragoza or Huesca Data Center. B2 level of English is required.

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS)

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we´re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You´ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You´ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key job responsibilities

• You will interact with stakeholders in Spain and across EMEA, so both Spanish and English language proficiency is essential

• Working to meet SLA´s against assigned trouble tickets via a directed workflow.

• Being first line touch point for hardware troubleshooting and technical issues.

• Performing regular server hardware repairs(drives, motherboards etc).

• Carrying out routine network, server hardware and OS related repairs.

• Working with cross-functional teams on a regular basis to complete routine work.

• Engaging with Smart Hands in EU Regional POPs.

• Adhering to security and safety best practices in the data center.

• Participating in Data Center power & cooling events.

• Participating in team meetings for metric analysis and daily/weekly goals achievement.

• Identifying and help create documentation for use globally.

• Identifying and help create process improvements relevant to the data center environment.

• Performing server upgrades, rebuilds, scheduled works as required.

• Interacting with third party vendors & contractors.

• Contributing to the development of other team members.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- STEM classes or vocational course curriculum education

- Are 18 years of age or older

- High school or equivalent diploma

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems
