The Analytics Specialist (Data mining) Qualifications:

* 5+ years of experience in Insurance/Finance environment, Systems, Operations (claims/contact center) experience preferred.
* BS degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Business or other associated discipline.
* 10+ years in Business Reporting and Analytical roles with excellent database skills; excellent proficiency in SQL, Excel, MS Access required; Experience with development on Oracle and SQL Server preferred.
* Strong background in designing & authoring reports/dashboards in COGNOS, Crystal, QlikView, or equivalent BI toolset preferred.
* Strong background and understanding of operational systems like Avaya, CUIC/Cisco, etc. for call centers, CRM for back-office and other inventory management systems preferred.
* Experience in managing a team across multiple sites preferred.
* Demonstrated analytical capabilities related to financial and operational process improvements.
* Ability to maximize technology expertise to deliver re-usable and scalable business process enhancements.
* Experience in identifying and developing key performance indicators and management reporting.
* Accomplished ability to manage multiple timelines and priorities for self and team and keep senior leadership updated on the same.
* Very strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
* Very good presentation skills required.

The Analytics Specialist (Data Mining) will have the following responsibilities:

* Work with business areas to design, build, enhance, and deliver data analytic dashboards and reports supporting multiple business units with key focus on Service Operations and Client/Customer reporting.
* Perform key reporting functions (routine and ad-hoc) and lead the European team in terms of reporting expertise.
* Perform/lead/consult/direct operational measurement analysis as needed. Will need to be a hands on contributor on a frequent basis.
* Lead efforts to partner and engage with operations leadership to define valid and reliable performance metrics that accurately reflect outcomes and impact on matrix partners.
* Support data consolidation activities to support global management reporting and analytics (MOR, actuarial data needs, claim dashboard, forecasting, etc.)
* Perform root cause analysis and corrective action planning with business areas as indicated by trends.
* Prepare and lead performance information analytic communications for Senior Management reporting needs as requested, across multiple business units.
* Prepare and present key strategic and day to day operational analytics to both managerial and front line partners to drive changes in behaviors, metrics and performance.
* Will manage a team of highly analytical resources.
* Build strong subject matter expertise on the team through data and functional knowledge.
