The resource provided by the supplier will provide on-going support to ICC Unix/Linux environment, consisting of 1300+ unix based servers, and related services and will participate in the automation projects and tasks for ICC and Partners.

As part of the ICC Server Support and Platform Automation Unit located in the ICC office in Valencia, the resource will:

• Install and maintain Linux systems (Red Hat, Oracle Enterprise Linux, CentOS)
• Implement configurations related to kernel, storage, security etc. as well as to ICC standard tools for backup, monitoring and management
• Propose and implement improvement on the environment
• Perform regular OS patching activities
• Identify and troubleshoot known problems and document solutions
• Perform required tasks during maintenance windows & conduct periodic on call duties
• Write and handover standard operations procedures to TIER1 support.


Minimum qualifications:

• Strong experience with Linux system administration
• Strong experience utilizing UNIX shell
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP stack
• Experience with the common Linux service (Apache, MySQL, SMB, postfix, …)
• Strong process automation and optimization skills
• Scripting skills in tools such as Shell, Perl and Python
• Systematic problem solving approach accompanied by a strong sense of ownership and drive
• Proficient in English

Desirable qualifications:

• 5+ years of administering Linux systems
• Experience with Puppet and similar management tools (e.g. Red Hat Satellite, RH IDM, etc.)
• Experience with Solaris installation, configuration & management
• Experience with containerization such as LXC and docker
• Knowledge of Storage Area Networks, LAN, WAN and Internet technologies and protocols
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Atlassian (bamboo, bitbucket) and GIT
